Gilda's Big Night Out will feature Bands, Boots and BBQ.

Tickets are now on sale for Gilda’s Big Night Out, the annual fundraising gala benefiting Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit. The event will be held at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on Thursday, May 19 from 6pm to 10pm.

This year’s gala theme is Bands, Boots and BBQ. Guests will be entertained by a battle of the bands competition performed by local country/rock musicians, including Red Hill, Sinjon Smith and Terrie Lea and the Mustangs. There will be a delicious BBQ cook-off prepared by the area’s finest restaurants, live/silent auctions and many more surprises that will make guests kick off their boots and PARTY! Patrons, benefactors and friends ticket holders are invited to a special VIP reception/meet and greet with the night’s special honorees.

“Gilda’s Big Night Out is an important fundraising event for our organization,” said Heather Hall, executive director of Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit. “The revenues help ensure we can provide our cancer support program at no cost to those who attend. This year’s event promises to be high-energy with great music and wonderful food. It’s certain to be a fun night for everyone!”

Since Gilda's Club opened 13 years ago almost 7,000 people have joined the cancer support community. Gilda’s Club welcome’s more than 12,000 visits to the clubhouse each year as men, women and children touched by cancer participate in support groups, workshops, education lectures and social activities. Events such as Gilda's Big Night Out help ensure the organization can continue to offer their program at no cost to members.

Gilda’s Big Night Out is sponsored by Cancer Treatment Centers of America, UHY LLP Certified Public Accountants, Health Plus of Michigan, and the Royal Oak Music Theatre.
